Me Off Grid
Frequently asked questions
Is Me Off Grid free?
Yes. Lessons, preparedness tools, the course and downloads are free at launch.
What do the technique ratings mean?
Field-Tested describes established practical methods. Conditional means results depend on conditions and materials. Experimental identifies demonstrations or uncertain methods. Myth/Dangerous flags claims that should not be relied on.
Can I read lessons without internet?
Download lessons from the Offline page while connected, using the published app. Check your downloads before relying on them and print a backup. Embedded online videos are not included.
Does this replace professional training?
No. Follow official alerts and evacuation orders. Get hands-on training for dangerous activities. Medical, food, water, fire, electrical and carbon monoxide content requires qualified review; a technique rating is not a reviewer endorsement.
Can I connect ChatGPT or Claude?
Yes. The AI page has the connection address. Members can read site lessons; administrator lesson changes wait in the review queue. External assistants cannot read the notebook or plans stored only on your device.
